Ecology
E-commerce has changed our shopping habits. Many studies indicate that online sales are more environmentally friendly and economical than physical sales. The reasons for this difference between e-commerce and traditional commerce are the transport savings made by the online commerce.
- Online sales, in most cases, are more economical and environmentally friendly than on-site sales, especially when individuals drive to shopping centers.
- e-commerce is all the more ecological when land delivery is preferred to air delivery.
- e-commerce would lead to fewer returns of goods and therefore less fuel costs when unsold products are returned to the manufacturer.
A study carried out by the American laboratory, the Oak Ridge National Laboratory, calculated that online Christmas shopping in 2007 in the USA allowed buyers to avoid 3 car trips and therefore the release of 492,519 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere!
Emaloja encourages, facilitates and simplifies the implementation of e-commerce for businesses of all sizes. Emaloja clients outsource their logistics and centralize their storage in Star Logistique warehouses in Switzerland and France.
Press review of our commitments
Driven by these ecological and economic values, emaloja aims to be a unique service provider to make your e-commerce project a large-scale project. Your success is also ours!
World Clean Up Day
This day was born 10 years ago in Estonia, after a spontaneous national initiative called “Let’s Do It”. In just a few hours, 10,000 tonnes of litter were collected by 4% of the population who came together to clean up their country.
This attracted the attention of the entire planet, who decided to bring together citizens for one day to collect as much trash as possible. Thus, World Clean Up Day was born. Since then, 150 countries have participated. This event takes place around the world on the same date every year. It is the largest civic movement on the planet.
The aim of “Let’s Do It” is not only to clean the planet of its litter, but also to raise awareness and find sustainable solutions to its litter.
See you on September 24, 2022 for the next edition. Do not hesitate to register ! The atmosphere will be friendly, civic-minded and good for the planet!

Bol d'Or Mirabaud 2017, the incredible epic - sponsoring
The Bowl of a Life
The 2017 edition of the Bol d’Or Mirabaud was described as the “Bol of a lifetime” by many competitors. A look back at a regatta to go down in the annals. During this edition, the weather conditions were exceptional. The wind blew in the morning, reaching around thirty knots in the middle of the night. Despite this, 567 sailboats showed up on the starting line.
Among them, just over 65 multihulls took the start with around fifteen knots of wind. The D35s, including Alinghi and Ladycat, led the race with a close duel until the finish line. Alinghi ultimately won with a lead of 1’30”. The record for the event, established in 1994, has not been beaten. The GC 32 RealTeam finished in third place, while the M1 Safram finished tenth in the M1 class.
The monohulls also experienced an intense regatta. Libera Implantcentre Raffica led much of the race, but two of its trapeze artists fell into the water, costing the Hungarians victory. Jean Psarofaghis, on Syz & Co, won with a 52-second lead after 8h44 of racing.
Nicolas Anklin won the Surprise category with his Mirabaud 1 crew in 11h05. The first Grand Surprise, Little Nemo, finished in 10:21. Gaston 3, best Toucan, completed his course in 10:40:58. Nico Delle Karth won in TCF1 with his Cold Duck, 42nd overall. Marc Stern won TCF4 on CDE.CH and the ACVL-SRS Trophy.
At 8:30 a.m., the 437 classified boats had all finished their race. The last one, Deluge by Sergio Cooper Teixera, took 22h20 to finish. This 79th edition will be remembered for a very long time as the Bowl of a Life.
